How to Sign a PDF on Android (4 Free Methods)

April 1, 2026·4 min read

Android doesn't have a single built-in PDF signing tool like iOS, but there are four solid free methods depending on your phone and workflow.

Method 1: Browser-Based (Works on Any Android)

Open Chrome and go to signpdf.top. Tap 'Sign PDF', upload your document, and draw your signature with your finger. Download the signed PDF directly to your device — no app install required.

This works on any Android phone running Chrome 80+. Your PDF is never uploaded to any server.

Method 2: Google Drive

  1. 1Upload your PDF to Google Drive
  2. 2Tap the PDF to open it in the Drive viewer
  3. 3Tap the pencil icon → 'Edit'
  4. 4Use the draw tool to sketch your signature
  5. 5Save — the signature is embedded as an image overlay

Note: Google Drive's drawing tool is basic. The signature is rasterized and may look blurry at print resolution.

Method 3: Samsung Notes (Galaxy Devices)

On Samsung Galaxy phones, open your PDF in Samsung Notes, use the S Pen or your finger to draw your signature, and export back to PDF. The S Pen gives the most natural-looking handwritten signature.

Method 4: Adobe Acrobat Reader (Free Tier)

The free Adobe Acrobat app on Android lets you fill forms and add a basic signature. You'll need an Adobe account, and some features are paywalled, but simple signing is free.

Which Android Method Should You Use?

  • Best for privacy + no app install: browser-based at signpdf.top
  • Already using Google Workspace: Google Drive
  • Own a Galaxy with S Pen: Samsung Notes
  • Signing Adobe-native forms: Acrobat Reader

Sign a PDF on any Android right now — no app download, no account needed.
